Scott Simon, 65, passed away peacefully on July 26th, 2026. Born on September 20th, 1960 to Robert and Sandra, Scott lived a life defined by his love for family, friendship, and the simple joys of life that brought people together.
Scott was a graduate from Binghamton North High School and Broome Community College and spent many years working throughout various engineering and sales positions. He was known for his outgoing personality, ability to spark conversation, genuine kindness, and ability to connect with anyone he met. Scott was often the life of the party, bringing laughter, energy, and warmth anyplace he went. More than anything, however, he treasured his family and those close to him. His love and devotion to them were the foundation of his life, and those memories created will be cherished forever.
An avid sports fan, Scott never missed a chance to cheer his beloved Yankees, Giants, Knicks, and Rangers. He shared a deep love for the game of golf and cherished the many memories he shared on the course and watching games with those close to him.
Scott is survived by his mother Sandra Callaway; stepmother Mary Simon; brothers Robert Simon Jr, Cary Simon, and Dean Simon; nephews Cory Simon, Brandon Simon, Austin Simon, and Bobby Storti. He is predeceased by his father Robert A. Simon Sr.
Scott will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of sharing a laugh while knowing him. His infectious spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love will live on throughout the countless of memories he leaves behind.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
