Mary Ann Hover, 63 of Endwell NY, passed away peacefully at Mercy House on October 29th, 2024, from her long-term hereditary illness of Liver Disease.
Mary was born on May 30, 1961, in Norwich NY to Linda Wake and Carl Lindenthaler (Pre-Deceased). Stepmother Ruth Lindenthaler (Pre-Deceased) and Stepfather Larry Wake (Pre-deceased). Mary was one of 10 siblings in a blended family. Her Siblings included Debra Wallen (Lindenthaler), Betty Villanueva (Lindenthaler), Half Brother Leroy Lindenthaler, Step siblings Cindy Branham, Jean Andrews, Patty DeRyke (Wake), John Wake, David Wake (Pre-deceased) and Larry Wake Jr (Pre-deceased). Mary was blessed with 7 grandchildren from both of her daughters Kelly Cowan (Williams) Son in Law Jesse Cowan and Sayword Hover. Grandchildren included Lilianna Williams (10) Hazel Hover (7) Carter Hover (7) Samantha Lee (24) Brianne Cowan (19) Garry Cowan (16) Tyler Cowan (13). She also was survived by her Nieces and Nephews Matthew Russell (Christy Russell) Armando Villanueva, Brianna Villanueva, Madison Wallen (18), and Roy Russell (10)
Mary Graduated from Maine Endwell Senior High in 1980. Mary was a devoted worker all throughout her life from working as a Meter-maid in Endicott to working as a cashier at our local Ames to working at local drug store Fay’s/Eckerds as a cashier to helping in the pharmacy. Her Joy was working almost 20 years with Maine Endwell School District working in the Kitchen staff. She also did part time at Tioga Downs working in the Concession stands during the summer for the horse races and up in the Buffet during the winter months. Working in the public was her Joy and pleasure. The last 8 yrs. She also worked part time at our local Dollar Generals. She also was a member of Endwell Fire Woman’s Axillary.
Throughout all her Jobs she never let anyone down she kept moving and pushing forward. She loved working in the public and she also loved her Gardening. Flowers were her passion, always planting flowers at her mother’s house and or within the community. The Last 4 and half years have had been a struggle for her between going back and forth to the hospital and going to Rochester for Liver Consult to NYS Columbia Presbyterian for Liver Consult. She never gave up. She was determined unfortunately that was not in the cards.
We would like to thank all the staff at all Health care locations: Guthrie-Lourdes Hospital, Dr. Lerman Ofc. at Gastroenterology of Guthrie-Lourdes, Strong Memorial Hospital Rochester NY, NYS Columbia Presbyterian, Willow Point Nursing Facility and Mercy House of Endicott and Union Ambulance for helping her and us in her time of need.
